This afternoon, northern areas will stay mostly cloudy with patchy rain for some in northern and western Scotland. Further south, plenty of sunshine. Turning hot in the south-east.
Tonight
Much of England and Wales will stay clear tonight with north-east England and east Scotland also seeing clear spells. Cloudier elsewhere with drizzle in north-west Scotland.
Wednesday
Tomorrow, thicker cloud may linger in the far north and far west of Scotland, but it will be warm and sunny for most elsewhere. Another hot day in south-east England and trending hotter elsewhere too.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday
Thursday through Saturday will see plenty of sunshine and increasingly hot conditions for much of the UK. Northern Ireland, west Scotland and occasionally some west facing coasts will often stay cloudier with some light rain or drizzle. A chance of the odd isolated shower developing further south at times. Cooler on east coasts by Saturday under a keen easterly breeze.
